LubPar™ 200 is a synthetic high-performance, low-environmental impact alternative to diesel fuel and certain mineral oils. LubPar™ 200 is a value-added alternative in high performance industrial applications because of its low toxicity, improved biodegradability over diesel, and the absence of polynuclear aromatics. LubPar™ 200 is used in conjunction with low toxicity esters in oil field applications, the combined material will meet the leptocheirus toxicity and anaerobic biodegradation requirements set by the EPA for specific oil field applications.

Environmental Issues

  • LubPar 200 is a fully synthetic product
  • Manufacturing facility is ISO 14001 accredited
  • Less than 1 ppm Sulphur
  • Zero PAH
  • Less than 1 ppm benzene
  • Toxicity tests done indicated that LubPar 200 conforms to nearly all regional requirements
  • Acute water column toxicity: MyshidShrimp –LC50 > 30000 mg/l (meets EPA requirement)
  • Acute Sediment toxicity: Leptocheirusplumulosus–LC50> 10000mg/kg sediment
  • Tests performed on LubPar 200 indicates that it biodegrades at much lower rates than required in regulations for Gulf of Mexico
  • Yard stick in Gulf is IO –All fluid have to be as good or better.
